PARLIAMENT TO CONSIDER BILL OF LAW ON GUARANTEES OF PROTECTION OF GENOCIDE VICTIMS

Agricultural-industrial people’s union submitted the bill of the law «On legal guarantees of protection of the memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915-1922» to consideration by the parliament. The bill provides for introduction of criminal responsibility for attempts of rejecting the fact of the genocide. The document also says that Armenian citizen do not have a right to participate in official or public measures, of which denial of the genocide fact may be the aim.
