PRESIDENTS OF ARMENIA AND TAJIKISTAN SIGNED FOUR DOCUMENTS

Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian, who is in Dushanbe on an official visit, will meet with Prime Minister of Tajikistan Akil Akilov and will discuss the prospects of bilateral economic relations with him. The same day the Armenian leader will meet with Chairman of the upper chamber of the Tajik Parliament Mahmadsaid Ubaydullayev. In the second half of the day Robert Kocharian will leave for Hujam. Yesterday the Armenian and Tajik Presidents signed four documents – Treaty on friendship and cooperation, Accord on encouragement and mutual protection of investments, Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of standardization, meteorology, certification and accreditation and Protocol on cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. Last evening the heads of the two states held a joint press conference. Tomorrow the delegation headed by Robert Kocharian will leave for Kirgizstan on an official visit.
