The Armenian-Turkish commission for reconciliation will continue its work with the name Group of Armenian-Turkish contacts. As «Arminfo» reports, «Hay-Dat» commission representative Karo Armenian has stated about this at the press conference organized by «Dashnaktyutyun» party. According to him, the structure and the main objectives of the Group will be determined in the nearest future. Armenian has noted that the Armenian-Turkish commission for reconciliation was the tool of the Turkish government in the cause of opposition to official recognition of the fact of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915-1923 by the world community. In Armenian’s opinion, the activities of the Armenian-Turkish commission for reconciliation impeded the settlement of conflicts in Armenian-Turkish relations. If the Group of Armenian-Turkish contacts also impedes the stabilization of Armenian-Turkish relations, «we will struggled against it as it was done with the previous one», Karo Armenian stated.
