Units of the Armenian armed forces will participate in the joint “South-antiterror 2002” maneuvers of the countries-members of Collective defense pact. As “Mediamax” reports, plan of the activities in the conditions of the abrupt worsening of the situation in the region will be developed during the training. The decision to carry maneuvers was reached in Moscow at the meeting of the committee of the chiefs of the general headquarters of the armed forces of the CIS countries in which chiefs of the general headquarters of armed forces of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia and Tajikistan took part. The participants of the meeting approved the project of joint events on operational training of military forces for 2003.
