A regional seminar of the International Civil Aviation Organization opened in Yerevan today. Representatives of aviation and air-navigation companies of 15 countries participate in the seminar to last till June 26. As reported by chief of the Central Directorate of the Civil Aviation of Armenia Samvel Margarian, the seminar is specifically devoted to the preparation of the 11-th air-navigation conference planned in Montreal this September. The main topic of the Yerevan seminar, in his words, is further advancement of flight safety. “Although since the acts of terrorism in the US September 11, 2001 much work has been done to that end, however, it is not sufficient yet,” – S. Margarian said. Besides, discussion of program of flight satellite management is also planned.
