NAGORNO KARABAKH PEOPLE HAVE RIGHT TO INDEPENDENCE AND WELFARE, ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER STATED FROM OSCE PLATFORM

Nagorno Karabakh people have right to independence and welfare. Armenian Foreign Minister stated it in Vienna appearing at the session of OSCE Permanent Council. The head of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the people of Nagorno Karabakh only seek peace. «Expressing their constitutional right for self-determination, the people struggled and won,» – Vardan Oskanian stressed. At the same time, the Minister noted that Nagorno Karabakh people could not live in uncertainty and blockade forever. The necessity to study any opportunity of regional cooperation originates in this situation. Noting the role of OSCE in Nagorno Karabakh settlement within the last ten years, Vardan Oskanian confirmed Armenia’s position on its peaceful settlement. As reported by Foreign Ministry press service, the representatives of EU, USA and Russia, as well as the Ambassadors of Turkey and Azerbaijan appeared in response to the Armenian Minister’s speech.
