Concern of the Armenian parliamentarians regarding the presence of the US troops in Georgia is reasonable. Head of the commission for defense affairs, internal affairs and national security of the Armenian Parliament Vahan Hovannisian is stated this in answer to “Arka” agency’s response to comment the proposal of his colleague Viktor Dalakian to organize parliamentary hearings in connection of the presence of American troops in the neighboring Georgia. At the same time Hovannisian noted that consideration of that issues should not be held in the framework of the parliamentary hearings as “the problem is very delicate and relevant to secret information”. “The parliament can find ways to discuss this problem but not in the framework of hearings, especially because the decision regarding such issues are reached not by the legislative authorities”, he said. Besides, according to Hovanissian, the hearings will not have effects, as they will not result in a document stating the opinion of the whole Armenian community.
