The perspectives of development of the Armenian-American military cooperation have been discussed in the course of the in-process visit of Armenian defense minister, Armenian Security Council secretary Serge Sarkiasian. March 20 the meetings of the Armenian defense minister and US defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld, US deputy defense secretary Paul Wolfowitz and other Pentagon high-rankers took place in Washington. As RA MFA Department of public relations reports at the meeting regional problems, issues on first military assistance to Armenia were discussed. Consultations on above-mentioned issues between Armenian defense ministry and the Pentagon took place. On the same day the Armenian defense minister met with the US deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, US deputy Secretary of State for military affairs Lincoln Bloomfield as well as participated in the reception organized in his honor by the Pentagon and leadership of the US Congress pro-Armenian group Frank Palone and Joe Knolenberg.
