ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER IN WASHINGTON ON WORKING VISIT

Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian is in USA on a working visit, where he holds discussions with Pentagon leadership on the prospects of developing the bilateral cooperation in the military sphere. Before leaving for Washington Serge Sargsian noted that in the course of the visit the parties would first consider concrete projects, which might be financed within the framework of US aid to the Armenian Armed Forces. These projects aim at contributing to creation of a regional security system in the South Caucasus in the future. In the Minister’s words, the United States intend to suggest Armenia to activate its participation in NATO «Partnership for Peace» program.
