After the away match against Armenia’s female soccer team, Slovenian team’s chief coach Tanya Lekich said that despite Armenia’s crucial defeat (1:5), the team should be praised for demonstrating aggressive and high speed game.
“It’s 2.5 years I have been coaching Slovenian team, but I do not set much store by the outcome despite our victory with big score. The 2:1 victory over Spanish team in 2009 qualification match is more significant for our command,” the coach said. “Female football in Slovenia is not developed either. We have 8 teams participating in championship, but our sportsmen’s level is very low compared to Italian female players. However, we do our best to speed up the development of female football in our country,” Lekich added.
Let’s note that in the two starting matches, Armenian and Slovenian female teams were both beaten Italy 0:8.
