Armenia has always noted the readiness of the Georgian leadership, as far as possible, to solve social-economic problems of Armenian population in Samtskhe-Javakhetia region, the issues of regional infrastructure development and strengthening of integration of the region in social life of Georgia. Armenian President Robert Kocharian has stated this to «France-press» agency. According to his words, «Traditions of sincere discussions of the problems of our nationals- citizens of Georgia were developed with Georgian President a long time ago and we, as a rule, have found solutions for complicated issues. Armenians living in Samtskhe-Javakhetia region face many social-economic difficulties and it is a fact. But other people also face such difficulties. It is the effect of the general situation in Georgia». Though it is impossible to allow the social problems in Javakhetia to get ethnic slant, Armenian President has noted.
