AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT SPOKE TO CO-CHAIRS WITHOUT WITNESSES

In the course of the meeting with the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs, Heydar Aliyev, unexpectedly for all, offered the co-chairs to continue the talks in a separate room. Leaving the ambassadors and the members of the delegation of the two parts, Aliyev and the co-chairs left the hall for the negotiations and continued the talks. As Azeri news sources report, such an event has taken place for the first time in the process of the talks on Karabakh conflict settlement. Commentators suppose that the actions of Aliyev were dictated with Aliyev’s unwillingness to let his circle be informed about all the details of the negotiation process. Meanwhile Azeri President called the current Minsk group format “the perfect one for the settlement”. “Your visit has a great importance and I think it is possible to discuss your proposals “, said Aliyev.
