A regular diplomat scandal between allied Turkey and Azerbaijan is about to happen. As the Caspian news agency was reported by informed diplomatic sources, official Ankara has recently presented several notes of protest at once, according to which the current foreign policy of Azerbaijan “does not agree with the brotherhood and friendship”. Ankara is puzzled and thinks over why Baku did not made a proper statement regarding “pro-Armenian resolution”, recently adopted by the European Parliament, requiring Turkey’s recognition and condemn of the 1915 Armenian genocide, opening of the border and creation of necessary conditions for Armenian-Turkish reconciliation. The current policy of Azerbaijan, as they think in Turkey, reminds of the situation when France recognized the Armenian genocide. Dissatisfaction of Azerbaijan with the ally also grows. They in Baku are particularly alarmed with the negative position of Ankara with respect to Heydar Aliyev’s plans to realize the so-called plan of “genetic assignation of rule” in Azerbaijan.
