DEFENSE MINISTERS OF ARMENIA AND IRAN DISCUSSED PROSPECTS OF MILITARY COOPERATION BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES

Today Armenian Defense Minister Serge Sargsian met with his Iranian counterpart Ali Shamkhani, who had arrived in Yerevan on an official call. As reported by Armenian Defense Ministry department of information and propaganda, the parties discussed the opportunities and prospects of cooperation between the countries in the military sphere. The ministers noted it was important to hold joint consultations on the questions of regional security, as well as to develop and realize regional programs. S.Sargsian and A.Shamkhani exchanged opinions on forming an atmosphere of confidence in the region.
