We will able to start the realization of the project of Iran-Armenia gas pipeline construction after several organizational issues have been solved, stated «Armgasprom» director general Karen Karapetian. According to him, first of all the project and gas price have to be determined. At the present time the negotiations on this project that is valued at $100 million are held. K. Karapetian emphasized the importance of this gas pipeline, which will make for diversifying sources of the supply of energy carriers to the republic. Taking into consideration the fact that Armenia does not have own source of raw materials but has underground gas storage and surplus of electric power, «Armgasprom» director is sure that one of the main areas for gas trade will form here.
