OSCE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY POSTPONED CREATION OF WORKING GROUP ON NAGORNO KARABAKH

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has postponed creation of the working group on Nagorno Karabakh. Decision on it should have been made on February 21-22 at the Assembly winter session. “Mediamax” agency reports referring to Baku sources that members of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Azeri delegation, in particular permanent representative of Azerbaijan in the organization Vagif Sadikhov met with Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly Adrian Severin on the eve of the session and expressed the Azeri party’s opinion that “creation of the working group will mean that the separatist regime is recognized as subject of the international law.” The Azeri parliamentarians managed to persuade the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Speaker and the discussion of the question was postponed as a result.
