People’s Artist Sos Sargsyan is this year celebrating his 80th jubilee. “80 years is an age that makes one responsible for his conduct, thoughts and words,” he told today participants of jubilee celebration.
On the occasion of this jubilee anniversary, merited Armenian artist received congratulations from several public figures.
“Dear Sos Sargsyan, live a long life so as we will have the right to existence,” said Head of Cinematographers’ Union Ruben Gevorgyan.
“Sos Sargsyan is the embodiment of kindness, warmth and humanity,” ran the congratulatory address of composer Martin Vardazaryan.
Holder of numerous titles and awards, actor and director Sos Sargsyan is loved and appreciated by every Armenian.
True believer of Don Quixote’s image, the great actor does not imagine the world without dreamers.
«What I dream about is the absence of the word ‘border’ in Armenian-Turkish relations. The real border between the two states is the Genocide committed by Turks. Turks cannot but hate Armenians because our existence constantly reminds them of the heinous crime. We don’t have the right to forget about that because the world may cease to respect us as a nation and state,» Sos Sargsyan said.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and numerous intellectuals.
