1.5% economic downfall expected in Armenia in 2010

1.5% economic downfall is expected in Armenia in 2010, most optimistic forecasts say.

As former CBA chairman Bagrat Asatryan told a news conference in Yerevan, some progress is expected in agriculture sector. Exports will also increase as a result of industrial production growth.

“Negative tendencies will be registered in external trade, capital investments and transfers,” he said. “2011 forecasts are more optimistic. Reasonable governmental policy should serve as a basis for 2011 economic growth.”
