During the Government’s Thursday session, Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan submitted Controls Committee’s 2008 reports concerning the activity of commercial organizations having no less than 50% state participation.
It took the Government 1.5 year to clarify the number of commercial companies with state participation and the state’s functions within their structure, Minister said, commenting upon Premier Tigran Sargsyan’s report. “Almost all of the companies turned out to have shortcomings. Ministers should feel responsible to exercise personal control over them as subordinate bodies,” Prime Minister added.
At that, he promised to take relevant measures to enhance the effectiveness of above mentioned organizations’ work by the end of 2010 and establish monitoring over companies that will be privatized in that period.
