Georgian state and Ombudsman sign memorandum on protecting minorities’ rights

Georgian State Minister for Reintegration, Teymuraz Yakobashvili and Ombudsman George Tugushi concluded a Memorandum on Protecting Minorities’ Rights. The document signed with the country’s Human Rights Defender will guarantee that the Government keep all minority-related issues in the spotlight.

“I don’t like the term ‘national minorities’ because all people should enjoy equal rights. Our task consists in making each national minority representative a full-fledged citizen of Georgia,” Teymuraz Yakobashvili said.
