ACCORDING TO EX-PREMIER OF RUSSIA, ARMENIA IS ONLY STRATEGIC PARTNER OF RUSSIA IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

Armenia is and was the only strategic partner of Russia in the South Caucasus. Ex-head of Russian government Sergey Stepashin stated this today at the meeting with Armenian National Assembly chairman Armen Khachatrian. When expressing satisfaction with the level of Armenian- Russian relations in the political sphere, Stepashin said it was necessary to develop economic relations. In his turn, the head of Armenian parliament expressed hope that the visit of Sergey Stepashin would help to strengthen of the bilateral cooperation.
