Today in Yerevan Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Armen Martirosian, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Adeli and secretary general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Georgis Savadis discussed the process of realization of the project of building Iran-Armenia gas pipeline. The meeting was held within the framework of the sixth session of the executive committee on Armenia-Iran-Greece trilateral cooperation, which started work in Yerevan today. Greece has expressed readiness to participate in realization of the project directly. Athens has already made a significant contribution to the project development. Particularly, it is known that the technical-economic proposal of the project of building the pipeline was carried out by “Aspophos” Greek company via a grant of $150 thousand rendered by the Greek Government. Let us remind that it is already expected to start building the gas pipeline this year. The project cost is $120 million. The pipeline is 141 kilometer long.
