PATRIARCH OF ALL GEORGIA AND ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER DISCUSSED MEASURES TO EXTIRPATE SECTARIANISM

In the course of the meeting in Tbilisi yesterday Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian and Patriarch of All Georgia Catholicos Ilia II discussed the situation in Armenia and Georgia taking place due to the spread of the influence of totalitarian religious sects. The interlocutors agreed that resistance to the totalitarian sects was the affair of the state, not the church. Vardan Oskanian and Ilia II emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two friendly nations to extirpate sectarianism.
