CONSTRUCTION OF VOROTAN TUNNEL TO SUPPLY WATER TO LAKE SEVAN TO BE FINISHED BEFORE YEAR-END

Construction of Vorotan tunnel, which will supply water to Lake Sevan, is planned to be finished before the year-end. Armenian Minister of Urban Development David Lokian stated it in the course of a conversation with journalists. In his words, the main part of the works will already be completed in July. 150 million of cubic meter increase of water volume in Sevan is expected due to Vorotan tunnel. Let us remind that during the recent 70 years the water level in the lake came down over 20 meters.
