The OSCE Minsk group co-chairs “have never worked as actively as they do now”, although there is a formal calm in the talks on the Karabakh conflict settlement. The Minsk group French co-chair stated this in his interview to “Liberty” radio station. According to him, the co-chairs stay in contact with the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The heads of the countries-co-chairs of the Minsk group – France, Russia and the USA, also observe the course of the talks on the settlement. Phillip de Surmen emphasized the importance of the meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan that had took place at the beginning of last year. “These talks allowed creating a common ground for Azerbaijan and Armenia and it is possible to continue the work taking it as a base”, noted he.
