LEADER OF TURKIC SPEAKING SEPARATISTS LIVING IN NORTH OF IRAN COMPLAINED EUROPEAN COUNCIL SECRETARY GENERAL ABOUT PRESIDENT KHATAMI

The CE secretary general Walter Shwimmer met with the leader of Turkic speaking separatists living in the north regions of Iran Mahmudali Chehragani. The situation regarding the rights of ethnic minorities in Iran was discussed. Chehragani introduced the CU Secretary general a report where is claimed that the official Teheran violates the right of Turkic speaking citizens, living in the Eastern Azerbaijan and Western Azerbaijan regions. Walter Shwimmer promised to pay attention to the problems of Turcik speaking minorities of Iran.
