US PRESIDENT AND TURKEY PRIME MINISTER DISCUSSED PERSPECTIVES OF ANKARA-YEREVAN RELATIONS

At the talks of the US President George Bush and Turkey’s Prime Minister Bulent Ejevit that took place yesterday, many issues as well as perspectives of the relations between Ankara and Yerevan were discussed. According to Turkish media, Bush welcomed the decision of Turkey to abolish the discriminating visa regime against Armenia. George Bush and Bulent Ejevit also discussed the situation in the Caucasus and the perspectives of the Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan gas pipeline construction. Turkey’s Prime Minister invited President Bush to visit Turkey.
