TURKISH PRIME MINISTER INTENDS TO MEET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF ARMENIAN LOBBY IN WASHINGTON

Prime Minister of Turkey Bulent Ecevit intends to meet with representatives of Armenian lobby in the course of his visit to U.S.A. January 14-19. “Arminfo” agency reports this making reference to Turkish “Zaman” newspaper. In the words of official representative of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Baki Elkin, Ecevit will try to persuade the lobby representatives that “the ideas, connected with the Armenian genocide, and maintenance of tension in relations with Turkey make harm to Armenia.”
