The process of negotiations on Karabakh conflict settlement will be discussed among other questions in the course of Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit’s visit to Washington. The head of the Turkish Government counts on enlisting the support of the U.S. political leadership in implementing the plans of activation of the Turkish participation in the processes taking place in the Southern Caucasus countries. The subject of the military presence of Turkey in Georgia and Azerbaijan will become topic of discussion. As it is known, the work on locating two Turkish military bases in Azerbaijan is being carried out at present. Dislocation of Turkish air base is planned in Georgian Marneuli town, populated by Azerbaijanis.
