ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT WILL NOT WAIVE THE BAN FOR INTRODUCTION OF PAYMENT BY MINUTE FOR CITY TELEPHONE CALLS

Armenian Government will be consistent in its decision banning introduction of payment by minute for city telephone calls. As reported by “Arka” agency, Minister of Transport and Communication Andranik Manukian stated it. “To let “ArmenTel” introduce payment by minute I should waive the ban, but I never will,” – he assured. Manukian reported negotiations between the Government of Armenian and “ArmenTel” company management continue at present. In his words, “the Armenian side is in favorable position.” Let us remind that “ArmenTel” executive director Nikos Georgulas stated one of these days that in case of failing the negotiations the company will begin levying payment by minute on the users in spite of the governmental decision.
