CONFISCATED DRUGS QUANTITY IN ARMENIA INCREASED IN 2002

Law-enforcement bodies revealed and confiscated 76 kg and 839 grams of different sort of drugs in 2002 in Armenia. Armenian Police press service head Artak Vardazarian told “Arka” agency, adding that last year the total weight of the revealed drugs comprised 18 kg and 679 grams. Commenting on the situation of drug addiction in Armenia, A. Vardazarian emphasized that “the percentage of drug takers is incommensurably law as compared to the other states of the Caucasian region and the CIS member-states”.
