Secretary of the National Security Council under the Armenian president, defense minister Serge Sargsian received today Pentagon delegation headed by the deputy assistant to the US defense minister Mira Ricardeli who arrived in Yerevan with an official visit. In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the present condition of the Armenian-American military cooperation and the prospects of its development. The parties also exchanged opinions on regional issues. It should be noted that the delegation will take part in the opening ceremony of “Cooperative Best Effort-2003” military exercise in Yerevan conducted within the framework of the NATO “Partnership in the Name of Peace” program.
