Gold market employees dissatisfied with tax inspection activities

Gold market employees, dissatisfied with the tax inspection’s activities, have organized a protest action in front of the RA government building. However, the action participants failed to clearly explain what exactly they meant by calling the inspection activities illegal.
The market representative insists on revision of the fixed taxes, earlier imposed by the government.

The action participants particularly demand disaffirmation of the cash register machines, wishing to pay only AMD 14 thousand of state duty and AMD 5 thousand of social payments. They also refuse to pay annual 11% of property taxes. According to the market employees, about 5000 people will lose their jobs, unless the government accepts their suggestion.

Alexander Ghazaryan, the head of department for investigation of citizens’ complaints at RA government, met the rally participants. He assured those gathered of arranging a meeting with a State Income Committee representative to clarify the situation and address complaints.
