We should get acquainted with the OSCE Minsk group (MG) new proposals on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and only then make judgements on the group activities. As reported by “Arminfo” agency referring to “Zerkalo” Baku newspaper, chief of the department of external relations of the Azeri presidential administration Novruz Mamedov stated speaking of the possible criticism of the Azeri delegation addressed to the international mediators at the coming PACE sitting. “We have our own opinion on the Minsk group activities, however, you know that since the beginning of the year its leadership works over new ideas for the Karabakh problem settlement. Thus, we should first get acquainted with the new proposals and only then judge the MG activities,” – Novruz Mamedov stated. In his words, having held three meetings with the MG leadership in 2002 Azeri president Heydar Aliyev presented his demands to them, making claims to the Russian and French ambassadors. As of the terms of the co-chairs’ coming visit to the confrontation region, as noted by Mamedov, the issue is on the agenda, however, some organizational matters should be solved on the occasion. It should be reminded that the other day deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan, personal representative of the president on the Karabakh settlement Araz Azimov expressed an opinion that the OSCE MG activities are at a low level.
