RUSSIAN DIPLOMAT CALLED PRESENT CONDITION OF KARABAKH NEGOTIATIONS “EXCEPTIONALLY COMPLEX”

First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Vyacheslav Trubnikov called the present condition of negotiations on Karabakh settlement “exceptionally complex”. The diplomat who is member of OSCE Minsk Group mediation mission stressed Armenia and Azerbaijan were still not able to compromise. According to his estimates, both sides “approach the resolution of the problem only from the standpoint of meeting their own interests.” In Trubnikov’s words, the Minsk Group is trying to use the suspension of contacts between the heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan for “search for confidence building measures.”
