Head of Armenia’s National Security Ministry press service Armenak Manukyan has said the Azerbaijani side statements about recruitment of Azerbaijani prisoners of war by Armenia’s special services that were returned to Azerbaijan are another provocation. In his conversation with «Arminfo» correspondent Manukyan has said that earlier the Ministry of National Security of Armenia had made a statement mentioning the Azerbaijani attempts to send their agents to Armenia. Such actions have been repeated several times and Azerbaijani part had a hope that they would be recruited by the Armenian special services and would be returned to Azerbaijan to commit terrorist acts. The objective of such actions is, Manukyan has noted, to accuse Armenia of terrorism and to discredit Armenia. What concerns the statements that in Armenia Azerbaijani prisoners of war were tourtered, suffice it to say that at the visit of the representatives of Azerbaijani right defending organizations no one of the prisoners of war complained of cruel treatment. It should be noted that the National Security Ministry officials were not present at the conversations with them. The prisoners of war mainly complained of that they were kept in different cells.
