The International Monetary Fund will give Turkey a credit of three billion dollars to be paid back within three years. This decision was made recently. IMF also intends to give additional credits to Ankara for overcoming the consequences of the world economic recession after September 11. The observers connect the peculiar attitude of IMF towards Turkey with Ankara’s support of the military operation held by the United States and the Great Britain in Afghanistan.
