Azerbaijan’s Central election committee chairman Mazahir Panakhov has expressed regrets for the US Embassy statement declaring the parliament additional elections are falsified. “These elections do not meet the international standards for holding of free and fair elections”, is stated in the US Embassy statement. Panakhow stated that the assessments in that document “are too harsh and do not reveal the reality”. He expressed regrets regarding the fact that the foreign Embassy without introducing its remarks to the Central election committee had made a statement about the falsification of the elections.
