Yesterday Armenia’s defense minister Serge Sarkisyan met with the secretary general of the CIS collective Security Council Valery Nikolayenko. The measures for the ensuring of the activity of the collective Rapid Deployment forces in Central Asia as well as the establishment of regional security system in the Caucasus were discussed. The issues connected to the forthcoming meeting of the Council of the defense ministers of the CIS countries and the events to neutralize international terrorism were also touched. It should be reminded that Armenia is the chairing country in the collective Security Council now.
