Today Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Armen Khachatrian and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Armenia Folker Zaytss, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, discussed the prospects of developing Armenian-German relations. As it was reported to “Arminfo” agency by the press office of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament specially stressed the importance of developing economic relations between the two countries. In Folker Zaytss’ words, Germany attaches great importance to the entire Southern Caucasus region, and establishment of peace and stability will contribute to development and prosperity of all the countries of the region. Answering Folker Zaytss’ question Armen Khachatrian explained Armenia was and is for peace settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It is time to speak not from the positions of arms and not about military potential, but about the peace and economic programs, which will contribute to the peaceful settlement of the conflict, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament said.
