CONCLUSION REGARDING THE ALAVERDI METALLURGICAL FACTORY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT RECEIVED

The «Manes and Vellax» company has received the conclusion of its foreign partner, LURGY METALLURGIE GmbH firm, regarding the preproject research of the reconstruction of Alaverdi metallurgical factory. President of «Manes and Vallex» Valeri Mejlumyan stated it the day before when answering the «Arminfo» agency correspondent’s question. It should be noted that Alaverdi metallurgical factory reconstruction, which is about $ 70 million, is included in the «Armenian copper» program developed by «Manes and Vallex». Particularly, within the project framework it is planned to begin the building of the factory of gravel concentrate and concentrating mill for copper ore in the territory of the operating factory in 2002. According to Mejlunyan’s assurance, the factory will have the opportunity to produce its own copper concentrate.
