Armenian foreign minister Vartan Oskanyan has stated in his interview to «Liberty» radio station that Armenia will not accept any proposals contradicting the Paris principles, though he has expressed readiness to continue the talks on Karabakh conflict settlement. The minister has expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the OSCE Minsk group co-chairmen had new proposals during the recent visit to conflict zone. According to his words, the mediators tried to bring forward a fresh stream in the negotiation process. Vartan Oskanyan has noted that after Baku had rejected the Paris principles and proposed its own ways for the conflict settlement, the cochairmen tried to find out Yerevan’s reaction. The Karabakh conflict settlement is a long-term process and it is not possible to settle it during one stage. The Armenian foreign minister has expressed his hope that the mediators will continue their work and will visit the region again. “Now there is no need to discuss whether the cochairmen’s proposals are acceptable or not”, has said Oskanyan.
