President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Arkady Ghukasian stated it in an interview to NKR state television company. Having noted the political settlement of the conflict does not have any alternatives, Ghukasian declared for holding direct negotiations between Azerbaijan and NKR, “Mediamax” agency reports. At the same time he suggested not to concern the questions of independence of Nagorno-Karabakh and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan yet, not going beyond discussing the relations that could promote peace in the region. The NKR President noted the political leadership of Azerbaijan had exhausted its constructive resources, as it had declined the latest proposals of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen. Baku would have to sit down to bargaining table and discuss the ways of peaceful negotiation of the conflict, Ghukasian stressed.
