HEARING REGARDING QUESTION ON TURKEY JOINING EUROPEAN UNION IS TO BE HELD IN EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT TODAY

Today the hearing of the report regarding the question on Turkey’s joining the European Union will be held in the European Parliament. As ‘Azg” informs with the reference to “Zaman” Turkish newspaper, the report introduced by a group of parliamentarians of European parliament includes proposals according to which the primary term for Turkey to join the European Union is the claim to acknowledge the fact of Armenian genocide. Member of communist faction Andri Bree and member of Conservative Party Sharl Paskua have addressed the meeting with this initiative. Besides, the claim to lift the blockade against Armenia is also included in the proposals.
