The complete repeal of 907 Section of Freedom Support will affect the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement negatively. This has been stated to «Arminfo» agency correspondent by Armenian foreign minister Vartan Oskanyan. According to him, the sanctions, adopted by the Congress in 1992, restricting the USA administration’s aid to Azerbaijan until it lifts the blockade against Armenia, is a key element of the Karabakh conflict settlement. «For last years the balanced package of Karabakh settlement was created and the withdrawal of any element from the package will upset the balance», has noted the minister. At the same time, the head of Armenian MFA has emphasized that the 907 Section adoption and repeal are the US business. The official Yerevan can just express its opinion regarding this issue. According to Vartan Oskanyan, the 907 Section repeal has not to be directly connected with Armenian foreign policy. But this repeal will affect the issues of regional nature, thinks the minister.
