UKRAINE FOREIGN MINSTER TO ARRIVE TO YEREVAN THURSDAY

Ukraine foreign minister Anatoli Zlenko will make an official visit to Yerevan October 18. As CNA agency informs, one of the key agenda points for Armenian-Ukrainian talks is the discussion of all spectrums of economic cooperation between the two countries. Ukraine has repeatedly stated about its interest in the participation in Iran-Armenia gas pipeline construction that might supply with Iranian gas Ukraine and Europe through Armenian and Georgian territories. Kiev thinks that it is necessary to strengthen the joint cooperation in order to increase the efficiency of “Poti-Ilchewsk” ferry crossing, that is the shortest and cheapest way for Ukrainian goods to go to Armenian market, and for Armenian goods to go to Ukraine and Europe. The signing of a number of intergovernmental documents particularly on cooperation in the spheres of information, energy and agriculture is expected at the visit of the Ukraine head of MFA to Yerevan. It should be noted that Ukraine foreign minister visit will have a regional feature, as Zlenko will also visit Georgia and Azerbaijan.
