OSCE SUGGESTS IRAN REPLACING ITS OSCE MINSK GROUP REPRESENTATIVE

The OSCE Minsk group cochairmen have suggested Iran replacing its Minsk group representative Farkhad Koleyni with «a more neutral figure». Azerbaijani «Turan» agency does not make clear what the exact reason is that Koleyni does not suit Russia, France and US. Teheran has not responded to the cochairmen’s initiative. It should be reminded that at the beginning of this year the cochairmen made a decision to inform Iran on the Karabakh problem settlement negotiation process and suggested Teheran to point a diplomat with authority for contacts with the Minsk group. Iran’s MFA appointed its ambassador to Armenia Farkhad Koleyni its contact person.
