THE RIGHT TO USE ARMENIAN AIRSPACE BY NATO FORCES WILL HAVE CONCRETE LIMITATIONS

At today’s press conference Chief of the general staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia Mikael Harutyunian stated the term and conditions of giving an air corridor to American war-planes would be clearly denoted. In his words, the right to use the airspace by NATO for contra-terrorist operation in Afghanistan will be confined by concrete limitations, which are to be specified. Participation of Yerevan in joint operations directed towards struggle against Taliban regime is limited to giving an air corridor to antiterrorist coalition forces.
