Armenia's Ruben Alexanyan (weight class +105kg) won the champion's title at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships in Bulgaria, lifting 392 kg in snatch, clean & jerk combination.
Lifting 180kg and 212kg in snatch and clean & jerk respectively, Alexanyan surpassed his nearest competitor Zaurbek Naniyev (Russia) by 12kg.
Zorik Poghosyan (weight class 69kg) finished 4th, lifting 301kg in snatch, clean & jerk combination.
