RAO “EES” INTENDS TO ACQUIRE HRAZDAN THERMAL STATION AGAINST PAYING OFF THE ARMENIAN DEBT TO RUSSIA

On the instructions of the Government of the Russian Federation RAO “EES” is holding negotiations on acquisition of Hrazdan Thermal Station against paying off the debt of Armenia to Russia. As reported by “Arka” agency, Chief of the Department of Public Relations of RAO “EES” Andrey Trapeznikov stated it to journalists. Let us note that today the state debt of Armenia to Russia makes 93 million dollars. In Trapeznikov’s words, the company intends to participate in the tender on privatization of 75% of shares of the four electricity distribution enterprises in Armenia, which may be sold by one lot. As Vice Premier of the Russian Government Ilya Klebanov stated earlier in Yerevan, RAO “EES”, “Gazprom” Public Corporation and Itera-holding Russian companies would unambiguously take part in the tender on electricity distribution enterprises of Armenia.
